Salomon Winter Movie Nights by Ellis Brigham
Whether you’re jetting off to the slopes or not this ski season, transport yourself to the snowy mountains of Japan, Austria, Whistler and Norway, all from a cosy seat in London town.
Enjoy a two hour snow flurry of exclusive films that celebrate different stories, athletes, styles, skiing freeride and stunning ski-scapes.
The current programme includes:
Cold Calls (24 mins) a ski film pieced together through conversations, memories, and whatever the season decided to offer. From storm cycles in Whistler to deep days in Japan, big terrain in Norway, and rare sun in Alaska, each call brought a different story — some hilarious, some heavy, most somewhere in between.
Shometsu Zekkei (10 mins) means vanishing landscape and was shot in Hokkaido featuring local ride Tenra Katsuno
Where The Soul Remains (11 mins) you won't be able to watch this online as its a work in progress - one part from the full movie that will be out next year. The film segment documents the athletes' shared desire to explore new mountain ranges, draw bold lines, and discover lesser-known resorts, specifically focusing on the area of Evolène in the Swiss Valais.
Edge Of Reason (52mins) Two veteran skiers, scarred by loss and experience, travel to Norway’s Lyngen Alps with a fearless newcomer. As they chase steep lines and redemption, they discover that the mountains still have lessons in humility, risk, and the razor-thin edge between glory and grief. Featuring Cody Townsend
