The European Outdoor Group (EOG) is in the process of developing stronger market intelligence for the outdoor industry. Working closely with the industry and the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) they are launching a retail point of sale reporting service, a ‘retail audit’ of product sales across retail channels in the UK.
Having up-to-date market figures will be beneficial for the industry in many ways. It can help with business decision making and influence policies that support growth within our industry by providing the government with evidence of the sector’s economic value.
There are two opportunities for you to get involved:
- Take part in the service as a retailer, you could be either a multi brand or single brand store (i.e. A brand with your own shop). In return, retailers receive a free benchmark report against the industry average. (Note that all data sharing is secure and confidential)
- Subscribe to the detailed market reports across a number of product sectors covering apparel, footwear, hardware and accessories markets.
