Born from the wild landscapes and unpredictable weather of Scotland, Trespass has spent more than three decades equipping adventurers for whatever nature throws their way. What started as a small Glasgow-based operation designing practical outdoor gear has grown into a globally recognised brand, trusted by skiers, snowboarders, hikers and explorers alike.
We caught up with the Trespass team to hear how about what drives their approach to getting people outdoors and what’s new for the winter season ahead.
Can you tell us a bit about Trespass and how it all started?
We’re Trespass, an outdoor clothing and equipment brand born in Scotland over 30 years ago. What began as a small company designing practical gear for the unpredictable Scottish weather has grown into a globally recognised brand. Today, our website brings together everything skiers, snowboarders, hikers and adventurers need, all in one place, making it easy for customers to get kitted out for the outdoors wherever they are.

Where are you based and what’s good about this location?
Our headquarters is in Glasgow, Scotland - a place surrounded by rugged landscapes, unpredictable weather and plenty of inspiration for creating durable, practical outdoor gear. Being here means we’re always testing ourselves against the elements, which keeps our products authentic and reliable.
Tell us a bit about the Trespass team?
Behind our channels whether through our website or in retail stores, are teams of designers, buyers, customer care specialists and outdoor enthusiasts. They’re constantly working to curate the right gear for the season, whether it’s ski jackets, snow boots or ski accessories.
Everyone at Trespass shares the same passion: to ‘Go Further’ - helping people enjoy the outdoors, no matter the conditions.
What’s your approach to helping customers find what they need?
We believe the outdoors should be accessible to everyone. Our approach is to provide high-quality gear that balances performance and affordability. On the website, we make it easy to navigate categories, compare products and read buying guides so customers can confidently choose the right kit for their adventures.

What advice would you give to somebody looking to buy their first set of ski or snowboard outerwear?
Start with the essentials. A well-fitted jacket and trousers to keep you warm and dry. Then think about your skill level:
beginners don’t need the most advanced gear, but comfort and fit are key. Take advantage of our buying guides and size charts and don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team for advice.
Do you specialise in any particular products or services?
One of our biggest strengths is ski and snowboard clothing - jackets, trousers, base layers and accessories. We also stock a wide range of outdoor gear, from tents and walking boots to backpacks and waterproofs, but winter sports apparel is one of the areas where we really shine.
What’s a typical day like at a Trespass store during the winter season?
Winter is our busiest time. Customers are browsing for ski holidays, snowboarding trips or just winter-proofing their daily commute. We see lots of activity on the website, from people researching the best ski jackets to last-minute accessory shoppers. Behind the scenes, the team is constantly updating stock, creating helpful guides and making sure orders go out smoothly.

How does your team select the products that Trespass stock?
We listen to our customers and test products ourselves. The buying team looks at trends, new technologies and feedback from past seasons. If a product doesn’t hold up in real conditions, it doesn’t make it onto the site.
What new gear are you most excited about this winter?
We’re excited about our latest insulated and technical ski jackets, designed with better performance in mind, but still at an affordable price point.
We’ve also introduced some new layering pieces that are lightweight but warm, perfect for both the slopes and après-ski.
Does your team have a favourite product that you’ll be testing out this season?
Our new mid-layers are a favourite, versatile enough for skiing, hiking or just keeping warm day-to-day. They’re designed to be light but still trap heat, which makes them perfect for active winter days.

Are you running any events, demos, or trips for customers this season?
Most of our communication is online, where we regularly share tips, guides and product spotlights to help customers prepare for their trips. Our retail stores do occasionally run local events, but online we keep the community connected through our blog and social channels.
What’s next for your store? Any exciting plans or developments?
We’re continuing to grow our online and offline presence and improve the customer journey. Expect more interactive buying guides, more retail stores, and even more focus on making high-quality outdoor gear accessible worldwide.
