A New Way to Understand Your Skiing: Snow Camps Europe Launches “Skier Insights” Assessment

Snow Camps Europe has launched a new online assessment designed to help skiers finally understand what’s holding them back on the slopes.
Developed by Andy Rose, Owner of Snow Camps Europe and an experienced international ski coach, the Skier Insights test moves beyond traditional ski level assessments to identify the underlying factors that limit progression.
While most ski tests focus on ability, beginner, intermediate, or advanced, Skier Insights takes a different approach. It categorises skiers based on their improvement patterns, helping them understand not just how good they are, but why they may not be improving.
“Most skiers don’t struggle because they need more lessons, they struggle because they don’t have clarity,” says Andy Rose. “Over the years, I’ve seen the same patterns again and again. Skier Insights is about making those patterns visible so people can finally move forward.”

The assessment identifies five key skier profiles:
- Cautious Skier
- Plateaued Skier
- Inconsistent Skier
- Social Improver
- Mileage-Ready Skier
Each profile highlights a different challenge, from confidence and consistency to technical habits and mindset, giving skiers a clearer understanding of what to focus on next.
Built from years of hands-on coaching experience across European resorts, the system is designed to be both simple and practical. In just a few minutes, skiers receive a personalised insight into their skiing, along with guidance on how to improve more effectively.
The launch of Skier Insights also forms the foundation of a new live event series, Skier Insights Live, which will be touring the UK in 2026. The events aim to bring the system to life, helping skiers apply these insights in a real-world context.
“This isn’t just a quiz,” adds Rose. “It’s a way of understanding your skiing in a completely different way.”
