Snow Test Success: Missing You Already Champoluc
What a week in Champoluc! Huge thanks to everybody who made it out to Italy for such an epic Snow Test and special thanks to test organisers Hillside Outside for pulling off a cracking test at an all-new location. Check out the round-up from Hillside Outside below.
MISSING YOU ALREADY CHAMPOLUC!
It’s only a week since we were enjoying all the goodness of Monterosa and Champoluc, so it's time to say a quick thanks to everyone for making it such a great Test.
Biggest thanks go to Monterosa Ski for hosting us and to Ski Champoluc for all their fantastic support – especially for the seamless load in and load out operation.
So many places in the town made us feel welcome though - it felt like we were a community being welcomed by another community.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s Test and have started conversations with our hosts about a return visit and any improvements we can make.
It’s also been fantastic for us as the organisers to hear so many positives about the venue and set-up, and the enthusiasm to come back to Champoluc – we’ll aim to make it even better next year.
Test Reports
We’ll soon be producing a full report on the Champoluc Test with all the facts, figures and test results.
For now, here’s some headlines;
- 113 individual testers
- 12 media test organisations
- 25 retailer test groups
- 53 brands
- 614 test skis
- 181 test boots
- 344 other items
- 1294 tests recorded (so far - lots still to be uploaded)
The App
The Snow Test app was refreshed this year to make it more user-friendly and add some features. This has led to a few glitches for testers, particularly when saving and submitting tests, both during and after the Test. The app developer has been working hard to resolve these issues and we apologise for any inconvenience. As changes are made it’s worth logging out and back in again to restore your reports and score cards.
Next week the following reports will be available to download from the app;
- Brand reports (primary users only) – your summary of all tests by category (no tester names).
- Retailer/Media reports (lead testers only) - your specific results, based on all tests by your group.
- Pooled results (lead testers only) – a list of averages of all tests, by category and model for all participants. For participating groups only.

Next Year
We’ll confirm ASAP, but main Test dates are likely to be 25 – 28 January 2027, with the add on test/ski social day being Friday 29th. From our POV the social day worked a treat, it was great that so many people got a chance to explore the Monterosa area. Your opinions are welcome so please email us with any thoughts so we can feed back to the Test committee.
PS you can always pencil in your trip/accom next year with the Ski Champoluc guys. They were such a massive help we have no hesitation in promoting them to help return the favour : )
